Principles
What we hold to,
deal after deal.
Our own money, first.
Our own capital, in every deal, ahead of anyone else's. Alignment and serious skin in the game isn't a marketing gimmick — it's the structure.
Long over short.
We favor decisions that create durable, long-term value over short-term gain. When the right call and the easy call diverge, we take the right one — with founders and co-investors alike.
Candor builds trust.
Good communication is the foundation of every strong relationship. We tell founders and co-investors what we actually think — early, directly, and honestly — because trust is built on transparency.
People are the business.
It's a cliché because it's true: good people are the lifeblood of any good business. We back founders as people first, and we invest our time in helping them grow into the leaders their companies need.
A duty to the displaced.
We donate ten percent of our GP proceeds — our own gains, not our investors' returns — to non-profits, particularly those supporting people displaced by the transition we're investing in. The winners of this era carry an obligation to those who won't happen to be in the right place at the right time.
Promise and disruption.
We invest in exponential technologies because we believe in their promise — and we speak honestly about their disruption. Optimism about the destination doesn't require denial about the road.
